NOTE:
Some trips may not be available due to weather, time constraints
or restricted access.
Black Creek
is a Congressionally designated Wild and Scenic River, and is consistently
ranked as one of the top leisure float trips in the nation. We
can design a float trip based on your needs, from 2 hours to 2 days.
Black Creek typically flows at 1 mph, so an easy paddle is around
2 mph. Be sure to incorporate time to fish, swim, and relax on the
sand bars. Our primary trips are:
Moody's to Janice
- 10 miles, 4-8 hours
Janice to Cypress Creek
- 4 miles, 2-4 hours - MOST SCENIC! This is a great stretch to include
in any trip. Beautiful sandbars, good fishing, great side trips
- this stretch has the Congressional designation as a Wild and Scenic
River. Ask us for more details.
Cypress Creek to Fairley
Bridge - 7 miles, 4-6 hours
We can combine these trips to create any length
trip. We can run trips from Big Creek Landing all the way to Highway
26, so let us know if you would like a special itinerary.
Beaverdam Creek
- For those of you who are more adventurous, we recommend Beaverdam
Creek, which is a small creek that joins Black Creek between Janice
and Cypress. It usually involves short portages to get around fallen
trees, but it is rarely paddled or fished and will definitely get
you off the beaten path. Give us a call for more information.
